Hi, my name is Steven Macfarlane. I am 30 years old. After leaving school I joined the British Army where I served in the RLC as an Air-Dispatcher for 6 years. 4 of these as a Physical Training Instructor (PTI). I was lucky enough to work with the British Army Rugby Team in the capacity of strenght and conditioning coach. I have always been instrested in Rugby and enjoyed playing while in the Army. However, after sustaining a knee injury I was no longer able to play.

I spent the next 5 years working in Recruitment, my life consisted of working very long hours, hardly ever exercising, I ate and drank far too much of the wrong things. As a result I was overweight, tired and stressed. I made the decision to change. I lost 3.4st, got into the best shape of my life and I now feel fantastic. So much so that I wanted to share my passion for fitness and help others to feel the same.

I decided to leave the corporate world and become qualified as a personal trainer. Not only am I qualified to help you make the correct lifestyle choices, I have experienced what it takes to change first hand. I know exactly what it takes to succeed.

My qualifications are:

  • Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training
  • Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing
  • Active IQ Level 2 Exercise to Music
  • Training Room Cert in Sports Nutrition
  • Training Room Cert in Studio Cycling (spinning)
  • Training Room Cert in Gym Based Boxing
  • Kettlebell Instructor Course KTA Lv 1

I have bags of energy and enthusiasm which I bring to each and every one of my training sessions. For me passion for life and passion for fitness are two of the same. I look forward to helping you feel the same way.

I am a keen runner and can regularly be seen pounding the pavement throughout Hillingdon. I'm training for several different races and hope to take part in some Triathlons next year.
